He also works at Queen Charlottes and Chelsea Hospital and West Middlesex University Hospital. He has specialist expertise in all areas of reproductive medicine and gynaecology with a focus on fertility preservation and restoration.
Mr Jones completed his medical degree at the University of Leeds in 2009, followed by his speciality obstetrics and gynaecology training in North West London. He became a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2015 and a founding member of the International Society of Uterine Transplantation (ISUTx) in 2016. In 2019, Mr Jones completed his PhD which focused on fertility preservation and restoration, where he undertook pioneering research into social egg freezing, fertility-preserving surgery and uterus transplantation. He is a key member of the team that performed the first uterus transplant in the UK.
In his current clinical positions, Mr Jones offers comprehensive gynaecological care, including management of heavy or painful periods, pelvic pain, hormonal issues or any post-menopausal issues. He provides an array of surgical treatments such as hysteroscopic and laparoscopic gynaecological procedures, including the management of endometrial polyps, fibroids or ovarian cysts. He also offers the option of outpatient hysteroscopy to minimise risk to his patients. From a fertility perspective, he specialises in egg freezing, IVF care plans and surrogacy. Given his expertise in gynaecology and fertility, he is perfectly placed to offer holistic pre-conception care to optimise the chances of spontaneous conception in his patients.
Mr Jones is passionate about research and feels strongly about practising evidence-based, individualised medicine. Alongside his clinical practice, Mr Jones is the principal investigator for the Investigational Study Into Transplantation of the Uterus (INSITU) at Imperial College London.
