- Dr Hazem El-Refaey is a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist who has helped change the face of the field. Hazem holds four separate patents and has pioneered several life-saving treatments that help minimize complications in pregnancy and childbirth. In 2011, these innovations were added to the World Health Organization’s Essential Medicine for Postpartum Hemorrhage (PPH), which is the leading cause of maternal mortality. Hazem is a clinician and an academic with over 25 years’ experience as an NHS doctor and private obstetrician. He has practiced across the United Kingdom, including Aberdeen, Glasgow and London’s UCL and the Imperial College School of Medicine. He proposed and led the development of the Early Pregnancy Unit at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. Hazem is bilingual and is fluent in both Arabic and English. Everyone is welcome to Hazem’s clinic. He has helped women with heavy periods, fibroids, PMT, menopause, suffering from miscarriages and in need of abortions. Hazem believes in empowering women to feel safe and knowledgeable throughout any aspect of their health, and their pregnancy and beyond.
